Global Connection Café
What if meeting online is not disembodying, but rather a way to come into deeper contact with the body of our world?
First Saturdays of each month @ 11AM-12:30PM ET
Global Connection Café is a monthly gathering space for exploring connection across distance, difference, and place. Together, we enter a shared online field where multiple lands, time zones, and cultural contexts are present at once.
From wherever you are in the world, you are invited to arrive as you are - also inviting the land you are on, the conditions you are living in, and what is alive in the larger context of your life right now.
Through lightly guided relational practices, authentic relating games, and spaces for shared reflection, we explore what it means to be human in a globalised age. What becomes possible when we meet across bioregions, across realities, across ways of living - while staying grounded and rooted in our bodies, in relationship with the places we are in?
We practice sensing one another as embodied ecological beings rather than as talking heads on a screen - each situated in a place, in a body, in a wider ecology that we are always in relationship with.
Each month offers a slightly different entry point into this shared inquiry, while remaining rooted in presence, curiosity, and deep listening.
Led by Kirien, whose work explores the nuances of belonging in the modern world from the perspective of having lived and worked in many countries before becoming mostly housebound due to chronic illness. They are endlessly grateful for how the internet has allowed them to continue living and relating in a globally-connected way, and inspired to create more spaces where this can be consciously explored with others.
Come as you are, from where you are.
